Alex has been a long time resident of the Pacific Northwest. He recently served as part-time settled minister of the Woodinville Unitarian Universalist Church. He is now half time consulting minister at the UU Church of Yakima. He completed a two-year interim ministry in Springfield, Illinois prior to his return to the Northwest. In addition to a successful interim ministry in Illinois, he has served churches in Oregon and Washington as consulting and interim minister during recent years. He is also working and traveling with his life partner - a fellow Zen student, Debra Savelle, who lives in Eugene. He is a Zen student in training with the Rev. Jan Chozen Bays of the Zen Community of Oregon for the past ten years and continues his training on a regular basis. He graduated from Starr King School for the Ministry in 1993. He is also leading the Addictions Ministry Team that recently was approved as part of the UUA. |
