James Gibbons Walker has been a Unitarian Universalist since 1994. James studied at St. Marys Seminary and University, Baltimore, Maryland, and the Holy Cross Hospital Clinical Pastoral Education Program, Silver Spring, Maryland.
From 1998 to 2007, he was a member of the Umpqua Unitarian Universalist Church in Roseburg, Oregon. James served on the Sunday Services Committee and our Committee on Ministry and was vice-president of the church for one year. A graduate of the University of Maryland School of Social Work, James worked from 1998 to 2007 as the Clinical Supervisor of the Douglas County Mental Health Divisions Community Support Program.
In July, 2007, James moved to Lincoln County to work as the Adult Services Coordinator of Lincoln County Behavioral Healths South Beach clinic. James, his wife Deborah C. Priest and their two cats, Jasper and Ms. Kitty, live in Waldport.
James is currently a member of the Central Coast Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Newport, Oregon.
