I grew up in San Bernardino, California, where I graduated from San Gorgonio High School in 1989 (co-valedictorian). Then, I attended Cal State U: San Bdno. my first year of college. My second year of college, I took an eight and a half month trip around the world visiting 6 different countries with a group called the International Honors Program. We visited several places in the U.S.A., England, India, Thailand, New Zealand, and Mexico. My last two years of college I finished my undergraduate degree at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in the area of Environmental and Cultural Studies. Moving to Myrtle Creek in 1993, I became interested in teaching. I tutored at first, then was a teachers assistant for a couple of years. I worked at UCC as an advisor. Finally, I decided to get a Masters of Education from Pacific University, which I completed in 1999. My first year of teaching was 1999-2000 at Roseburg High School, half-time. My first full time position which I kept is at Oakland High School where I currently teach science at all levels, grades 9-12. I married Holda Biskeborn in August 2007, and we had our girl Juniper in April 2009. In March of 2011, our son Oliver was born. We currently live outside of Oakland on 20 rural acres with four cats and a dog. You will need Adobe Reader to view the sermons.
